We went on the Giants Causeway tour and it was fantastic. Our guide was Bud and he was clearly passionate about what he does. Knew little facts about every town we passed and had a great sense of humour.
In 1986 the Giant’s Causeway received major recognition when it was included on the World Heritage list making it Ireland’s first World Heritage site.
Around 50-60 million years ago, it is thought that volcanic activity created step-like columns on the very edge of the Antrim plateau
The trip to Giant’s Causeway was full of stunning sights and stories. The trip was well-paced and included other impressive sights along the way. The guide was very competent and helpful
Typically we are not ones to take a bus trip of any sort but this one truly exceeded our expectations. Our bus driver Mac made the trip! His knowledge of Irish history and sense of humor made for one of the best days we have spent in Ireland.
